The SMC Diagnostic and Consultation Centre, Gollamari, commenced operations on July 1, 2026 with the aim of providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services to the people of Khulna and surrounding communities.

The SMC Diagnostic and Consultation Centre, Gollamari, Khulna, was formally inaugurated by cutting the ribbon on September 12, 2026. The ceremony was inaugurated by the Chairman of SMC & SMC EL Board, Mr. Faruk Ahmed; SMC & SMC EL Board Director Mr. Siddiqur Rahman Choudhury; SMC & SMC EL Board Director Mr. Jahir Uddin Ahmed; the MD & CEO of SMC; the MD of SMC EL; and other senior officials from SMC and SMC EL. The program commenced with a tree plantation activity. Special discounts were offered on the occasion of the inauguration. As part of this memorable event, 14 doctors from different disciplines provided free consultations. A total of 243 people received healthcare services. Among them, 58 people received laboratory services with a 30% discount on all diagnostic tests. Meanwhile, 108 people purchased medicines from SMC Model Pharmacy with a 7% discount. The Board Members and senior officials visited the centre and held a meeting with clients, doctors, and staff. The Honorable Chairman, Board of Directors, MD & CEO of SMC, MD of SMC EL and the senior officials provided valuable guidance and directions in line with the mission and vision of the clinic operations and expressed their satisfaction with the dedicated team. The enthusiastic participation of the local community and patients reflected their confidence in the centre's healthcare services, modern diagnostic facilities and quality of care. The centre also features a "Rainbow Children's Corner," providing children with a cheerful space to enjoy their waiting time before consultation, while making the waiting experience more comfortable for accompanying mothers. Refreshments were also provided for patients and visitors on the occasion. The program concluded with the release of balloons, marking the formal inauguration of the centre.
